Diaspora (Commonwealth Union) _AMCCO Properties Limited, a Silver member of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), celebrated its 4th anniversary with the launch of its innovative Diaspora Program, aimed at offering secure real estate solutions for Kenyans living abroad. Since its founding in July 2020, AMCCO has built a strong reputation in Kenya’s land market, focusing on key areas such as Kikuyu and Ngong.

The company’s primary clientele includes individual investors, future homeowners, group investors like chamas and Saccos, and agribusiness investors. By introducing virtual site visits for diaspora clients, AMCCO is prioritizing transparency and security, addressing concerns of fraud that often plague overseas investors. The virtual tour feature allows clients to explore potential properties remotely, ensuring clarity in the land purchasing process.

Simon Nyaga, Chairman of the Diaspora Committee at KNCCI, emphasized the Chamber’s role in expanding market access through its established diaspora networks. He also announced upcoming roadshows to further engage and cater to Kenyans abroad, signalling the Chamber’s commitment to fostering international investment opportunities.

AMCCO’s Managing Director, James Muturi, expressed his enthusiasm for entering the diaspora market, revealing plans for future partnerships with financial institutions. These collaborations will aim to provide financing solutions for diaspora land buyers, making it easier for them to invest in real estate back home.

At the event, the Chief Guest, James Mureu, Chairman of the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA), commended AMCCO on its steady growth and the strategic launch of the Diaspora Program. He encouraged further investments in Kenya’s real estate sector, while stressing the importance of adhering to legal frameworks and ensuring secure investments.

The anniversary celebration attracted stakeholders from the real estate, agribusiness, and financial sectors, reinforcing the critical role of safe and profitable investments for Kenyans both locally and internationally. AMCCO’s expansion into the diaspora market aligns with broader efforts to create trustworthy investment opportunities for Kenyans abroad, enhancing confidence in real estate transactions.
