The choice of the Attari border as the venue carried special significance because Main Vaapas Aaunga is set against the backdrop of India’s Partition. The film explores themes of love, separation, memory, and longing, inspired by stories of migration and displacement from that period. The film stars Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari, and Vedang Raina. Its music has been composed by AR Rahman, with lyrics written by Irshad Kamil. Produced by Window Seat Films and Birla Studios, Main Vaapas Aaunga is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026.
