California, USA (CU)_ The top Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie paid a visit to the war-affected Ukrainian city of Kviv this week, stopping by a bakery and then heading to the railway station to meet some of the people relocated by Russia’s war. The 46-year-old actress is a special ambassador for the UN refugee agency. According to the organization, over 12.7 million people have escaped their homeland in the last two months, which accounts for 30% of Ukraine’s pre-war population.

Jolie visited volunteers who looked after the displaced people during her visit to the station. The volunteers informed her that each psychiatrist on duty consulted around 15 people each day. According to volunteers, the majority of individuals in the station are youngsters between the ages of two and ten.

While responding to a query, she said, “They must be in shock … I know how trauma affects children, I know just having somebody show how much they matter, how much their voices matter, I know how healing that is for them”.

Jolie also paid a visit to a hospital facility, where she met youngsters who had been harmed by a Russian military missile strike on the Kramatorsk railway station. She said she was too affected by their tearful stories. One girl was even allowed to speak personally with Jolie about her ambition. Additionally, the envoy paid a visit to a boarding school, where she spoke with them and posed for pictures with kids. She vowed to return.
When she visited the station, she tickled a young girl in a red frock, who burst out laughing. Additionally, she took photographs with some volunteers and a few of the youngsters. Jolie paid a visit to Yemen in April in her role as special envoy, where millions of people have been relocated by war.
