‘Anthem of the seas’ to set sail

An exciting new journey awaits Singapore in November 2024 with the arrival of the Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas cruise.

The cruise will depart for the first time in Asia and take travellers to new destinations within the South-east Asian region like Bali, Vietnam and Thailand.

Anthem of the Seas delivered in 2015, was built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, the same German shipyard that also built well-known Asian cruise ships like SuperStar Virgo, Genting Dream and Spectrum of the Seas.

Anthem of the Seas the second ship in the game-changing Quantum-class, shares the same platform as Quantum of the Seas and Spectrum of the Seas which also called Singapore home from 2019 to 2022, and 2022 to 2024 respectively. Her statistics as such, are broadly similar to the two ships, measuring in at 168,666 Gross Tons, 347 metres long and capacity for up to 4,905 passengers across 16 decks (15 passenger-accessible).

Guests will be able to savour the finest culinary delights of Wonderland’s imaginative dishes, Johnny Rockets American diner classics and Chops Grille hearty steaks.  Anthem of the Seas is home to Gigi the Giraffe and guests could say hi to her on Deck 15, in her distinctive yellow swimsuit and pink swimming ring.

Signature activities onboard like rock climbing, the FlowRider surf simulator and the North Star observation deck will be available for guests.

Anthem will take guests on a new eight-night getaway to Bali, where they will be visiting the temples, beaches and waterfalls of Celukan Bawang, Benoa, and Lombok Island.

It will also feature a 10-night trip to Vietnam and Thailand, visiting Ho Chi Minh City (Phu My), Nha Trang, Chan May in Vietnam and an overnight visit to Bangkok (Laemchabang) Thailand.

Exclusive deals and destinations will be available at the upcoming Matta Fair Kuala Lumpur from 1st to 3rd September for sailings departing between19th September 2023 to March 11, 2025. 

Promotions will include 30% off cruise fare, 5% off seniors while kids cruise for free and up to 10% off on selected sailings.

Vice President and Managing Director, Asia-Pacific, Royal Caribbean – Angie Stephen, said in a statement that she was excited to bring Anthem of the Seas to Singapore for the first time where guests will be assured of the perfect mix of thrills and chills as they create unforgettable memories onboard.

Spectrum of the Seas cruise will meanwhile still be available in the region until March 2024.

Spectrum will then take travellers from Shanghai to cities of Japan from April 2024 and from Hong Kong to cities of Japan, China and Vietnam from December 2024.

Royal Caribbean, allows globetrotters to enjoy cruises covering destinations across the world, from Europe to all the way to Alaska with 28 ships in its fleet by 2024.

Anthem of the Seas cruise will set sail from Singapore from November 2024 to March 2025.
