India (Commonwealth Union)_ Apollo Hospitals has proudly announced the completion of an astounding 23,000 transplants through its Transplant Program. Since its establishment in 2012, the program has consistently accomplished more than 1,200 transplants annually, even in the midst of the formidable challenges presented by the peak of the COVID pandemic in 2020, during which 814 transplants were successfully carried out. Remarkably, the program touched a milestone in 2022, accomplishing a staggering 1,641 transplants.

Notably, Apollo’s Transplant Program has attained several significant milestones, making it the first in India to do so. These achievements include surpassing 18,500 kidney transplants, 4,300 liver transplants, and 500 pediatric liver transplants. Further, owing to India’s emergence as a prominent medical treatment destination for international patients, Apollo Hospitals has earned a commendable reputation in the fields of solid organ transplantation and healthcare technology.
