right time where women in the field of sports are reaching new heights, with the latest Tokyo Olympics including a record-breaking 49 percent female athletes, earning the title of first-ever gender-equal games. According to Fistonich, the Her Roar exhibition will be the world’s first invitational strong woman and female division. She said, “We’ve chosen to really focus on the strength part of it because of the imagery that it portrays, yoga and pilates are not the center point for us for this event”.

This event has a strong emphasis on assisting female athletes and groups that are underpaid, encouraging them to reach larger audiences and pursue commercial success. Fistonich said, “That’s a really big part of this conversation. I know it’s only one event, it’s one brand, and that’s only one piece of the puzzle. But it’s a little piece of the puzzle that can help, even from the sporting side of things, we’re really making sure that the prize money that we give the women is competitive and making it very much worth their while”. She concluded by saying, “We really want to push the narrative that, we’re important, we’re here, we deserve to be seen, and we deserve to be where our counterparts are”.

The event will be held in collaboration with RiseUp, a domestic violence awareness and support organization, with a ceremony night to honour the amateur and professional athletes with awards and collect funds for the organization. The Her Roar website accepts donations as well as sells tickets.
