outline a protection regime which ensures the maximum security and safety of the workers. In this context, Peter Newman, QMIHSC 2022 chair and chief inspector of coal mines for Resources Safety and Health, Queensland, stated that “the mining industry’s core value and commitment was the safety, health and psychological wellbeing of its workforce.

He further added that workplaces would be designed in sustainable fashion and well equipped with necessary protective gear in order to avoid any fatal accidents and occupational hazards from taking place at the mines. The industry will dedicate itself towards maintaining high levels of safety of all employees irrespective of any social partialities. He ended his speech by encouraging members of the audience to broaden their thinking capacities in this regard and brainstorm strategies which may be implemented to establish good workplace security.
