The Brampton facility is the primary PDC in North America to use Autostore’s automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS). The cube storing system, reinforced by SwissLog SQ software, comprises 27 picking robots that travel along trails that are constructed above a 5-meter-tall network stocked with parts. The network is composed of 43,000 bins loaded within 3,600 sq.m of storage area from which the robots select parts and transport them to manufacturing stations where PDC employees pack and expedite the final shipments.
