AXA Mansard honored with two gender inclusion awards

Nigeria (Commonwealth Union)_ AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, a subsidiary of the AXA group, announced that it has received two honors at the 2022 Women in Marketing & Communications Awards (WIMCA). The firm as a whole bagged the Most Outstanding Insurance Company in Gender Inclusion award, while its Chief Customer and Marketing Officer, Jumoke Odunlami, won the Most Outstanding Marketing Professional, Insurance Category award. 

In Nigerian and Sub-Saharan Africa, WIMCA is the biggest gathering of female companies and marketing communications experts. The yearly event recognizes and honors influential women who have persevered despite adversity and reached great heights in the brands, marketing, and communications industries. AXA Mansard has locations throughout Nigeria and operates its regional offices and Welcome Centers in all major cities. 

Kunle Ahmed, chief executive officer of AXA Mansard Insurance, expressed pride in receiving the award, stating that it was further evidence of the company’s dedication to gender diversity and inclusion. “This is an award like no other. We are honored to be recognized by a reputable organization like WIMCA,” he said. According to him, in an effort to bring value to all stakeholders, the firm is always focused on attracting the most talented individuals and developing a platform that provides equal opportunities to all. Moreover, the firm is determined that everyone, regardless of gender or personal preferences, must be afforded equal chance and have designed the management systems and policies to offer women (and men) with growth opportunities. This recognition is an added advantage.

According to Jumoke Odunlami, the Chief Customer & Marketing Officer of AXA Mansard, the award once again demonstrated the organization’s women-friendly atmosphere. “We are a customer focused company, so we know that to deliver the best of services and products to our customers, the diversity of the male and female gender is essential. So, we had to give women as many opportunities as any other gender,” she said.
