Sydney, Australia (CU)_ General insurer Berkley Insurance Australia has launched its newest insurtech innovation, a new broker platform that streamlines and speeds up the process of requesting a quote and binding a policy. The latest platform, bindIT, has several specialized features, such as a secure connection that enables clients to submit their data and transmit it to their broker for evaluation. Following the broker’s approval of the data, it may be sent to the platform with a single click, reducing the risk of error and eliminating the need for double entry.

Tony Wheatley, chief executive officer of Berkley Insurance Australia, spoke about the new broker platform. He said, “We want our brokers to have the option to transact with us online when it suits them and be able to quote and bind a policy in just a few minutes. That’s exactly what we’re offering with our bindIT broker portal”.

Berkley created bindIT to overcome the challenges in brokers’ sluggish and inefficient manual method of obtaining a quote on behalf of clients. With the launch of the new platform, brokers do not have to search or explore through mounds of outdated policy papers or call underwriters to get a quick quote. The new platform is time-saving as well as user-friendly.

Brokers may get a provisional “Quick Quote” within 30 seconds and recommend it to their clients personally or over the phone. If customers choose to proceed, the entire operation of receiving a quote, downloading files, and binding the policy takes only a few minutes. Brokers can pick up to three distinct, customizable policy choices for their customers using the platform.
