Cadbury favourites back for Christmas

-

Christmas (Commonwealth Union)_It’s been a great week for Cadbury fans, with the chocolate giant announcing a brand new bar and an iconic product making a surprise return to shelves ahead of Christmas.

While many chocolate lovers will be filling their cupboards with tubs of Celebrations and Quality Street at this time of year, the second largest confectionery brand in the world, Cadbury has announced the long-awaited return of some of the firm fan favourites – in time for Christmas.

With Christmas almost four weeks away Fans of the chocolates rejoiced on social media, celebrating the timing of the news.

Cadbury Creme Eggs, Mini Eggs, and Mini Egg Bars are back at B&M following a hiatus. A five-pack Creme Egg box includes one White Chocolate Creme Egg, two classic Creme Eggs, and two delicious Caramel Creme Eggs.

They also come in a larger mixed 10-pack, which is inclusive of five original Creme Eggs, and five caramel ones. A larger box that contains five Creme Eggs and five caramel versions, is also available to buy in-store for £3.75 at B&M stores. Both packs can be purchased on Cadbury’s website for £3.45, but unsurprisingly, they are currently out of stock.

Shoppers are going wild on social media after spotting multipacks of 5 Cadbury Creme Eggs in B&M, which feature a selection of different flavours, including classic, white chocolate eggs and caramel.

B&M customers have also reportedly spotted Mini Egg Bars and Mini Eggs and on the shelves as well, proving these treats can be enjoyed any time of the year.

Cadbury
has also launched a campaign to announce the return of Cadbury Dairy Milk Coins for this Christmas.  Cadbury is bringing back its Dairy Milk Chocolate Coins after almost a decade away from UK shelves, and celebrating their return with a fully integrated campaign, getting over-excited about Christmas.

The campaign will run across DOOH, social, print and digital until 17th December and will be supported by owned channel activity by Elvis with Publicis Media being responsible for media planning and execution.

Cadbury and VCCP London, its agency of record, unveiled a special build billboard in Leeds, created by brand experience agency Energy, to kick off the campaign, which features a poster that Cadbury just couldn’t stop adding decorations to.   Premature Christmas excitement spills out of the poster as fairy lights and baubles and take over the whole building.

Cadbury Dairy Milk Coins tracked down three homes where its occupants just cannot wait to decorate for Christmas and who always go overboard. Cadbury helped make their homes extra Christmassy with special Cadbury Coins lights and captured the results for social media, with filming taking place in October.

Mondelēz International-owned brand Cadbury will launch a Creme Egg chocolate bar in Easter 2024, after the successful launch of its white chocolate Creme Egg last year.

The Cadbury Creme Egg bar will see the brand in tablet format in the UK for the first time, and for the first time ever, the tablet launched for a limited time in Australia in 2019.

Cadbury released its Creme Egg Twisted bar in 2007 in the UK; a 45g chocolate bar filled with Creme Egg fondant, though it was discontinued in 2013.

The Creme Egg bar is the first new tablet introduced by Cadbury since it launched Darkmilk Praline and Caramilk Crispy tablets in August.
