Car rallies for Modi

USA (Commonwealth Union)_ The overseas friends of BJP in the US recently orchestrated car rallies across 20 American cities as a demonstration of their endorsement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third term and as an appeal to the Indian populace to grant a resounding mandate of 400 plus seats to the BJP-led NDA alliance in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, touted as the world’s largest democratic exercise, which is scheduled between April 19 to June 1.

Adapa Prasad, president of OFBJP-USA, remarked on the tremendous enthusiasm within the Indian American community, expressing their fervent desire to witness the Modi-led BJP and NDA surpass the 400-seat mark in the Lok Sabha Elections. This aspiration is encapsulated in the slogan “Ab ki Baar 400 Paar.” According to Prasad, such overwhelming enthusiasm from the Indian-American diaspora was unprecedented. Additionally, Vasudev Patel, the national general secretary of OFBJP-USA, highlighted the community’s spirited participation in the meticulously organized car rallies spanning from the east coast to the west coast and from the north to the south in approximately 20 cities. Notable rallies occurred in the Washington DC metro area, covering Virginia and Maryland, and in New Jersey, where around 200 cars partook in a festive atmosphere.

Furthermore, in Silicon Valley, a solidarity caravan commenced from the Fremont Warm Springs/South Fremont BART Station to the Indian Community Center (ICC) in Milpitas, symbolically covering significant ground in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area. The rally garnered an immense turnout, featuring about 200 cars and 300 participants from various Bay Area locales, signaling robust support for the Modi government’s reelection bid in 2024. Throughout these rallies, attendees adorned their vehicles with BJP and American flags while displaying placards bearing slogans such as “Modi ka guarantee, India 3rd largest economy,” “Ab ki baar 400 paar,” and “Modi 3.0.” This visual spectacle captured the attention and admiration of thousands of audience, demonstrating the deep-seated enthusiasm and patriotism of the Indian diaspora towards India’s advancement and global leadership.

Similar car rallies also took place in cities including Atlanta, Georgia, where approximately 150 cars participated, as well as in Austin, Dallas, Chicago, Raleigh, and Detroit. Attendees at these rallies echoed sentiments of appreciation for the Modi government’s numerous achievements, particularly its contributions to India’s development and its efforts in promoting global peace. Additionally, participants voiced their unwavering support for the Modi government to secure victory in the 2024 elections, displaying their confidence in the administration’s vision and governance.

Furthermore, members of the Sikh community in and around the American capital also organized a car rally to express their support to Prime Minister Modi’s potential third term, asserting its necessity not only for India but also for global peace and stability. Organized in a Maryland suburb of Washington DC, participants first gathered at Gurdwaras before joining the rally venue, with their cars adorned with BJP and American flags, alongside placards reading “Sikh Americans for Modi 3.0”; “Ab ki bar 400 paarr”; “Modi guarantee”; and “India 3rd largest economy.” Overall, the Indian diaspora community in the US exhibited a true spirit of patriotism and love for their homeland.
