Cervical cancer and how commonwealth countries plan to dial forward.

Commonwealth carrying a 43% of share of the global mortality burden and 40% share of global cervical cancer incidence burden, the case for action has never been clearer.

Commonwealth heads of government meeting last year, they realized that the most common cancer affecting women in many commonwealth countries is cervical cancer. Steps have been taken to address the burden of cervical cancer. The first step was taken by the heads of government to ensure all girls above age 13 have access to the human papillomavirus vaccine by 2025.

 Over the past few years, countries of the commonwealth historically broke new ground on preventive measures to address Carnival cancer. HPV vaccination campaign for all girls between the ages of 11 to 15 was introduced by Rwanda from a first African country.
