The Asia Pacific Institute of Digital Marketing (APIDM) and the University of Kelaniya proudly present the fifth edition of the ‘Digital Outlook Sri Lanka 2024’ report, a seminal publication poised to redefine Sri Lanka’s digital marketing landscape. Against the backdrop of swift technological progress and an amplified emphasis on digital literacy post the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, this report emerges as a critical guide for industry professionals and businesses navigating the evolving digital terrain.

Marking an unprecedented collaboration between APIDM and the University of Kelaniya, this year’s report is a testament to the synergy between academia and industry, offering a comprehensive roadmap for those seeking to excel in the dynamic field of digital marketing in Sri Lanka.

The Advisory Board, comprising luminaries such as Prof. Ravi Dissanayake and Prof. Bandara Wanninayake from the Department of Marketing Management at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, and Amitha Amarasinghe, CEO & Co-founder of APIDM, played a pivotal role in shaping the report. Their invaluable insights and strategic guidance have significantly contributed to the depth and breadth of this edition.

Amitha Amarasinghe expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This partnership has yielded an invaluable guidebook for excelling in digital marketing in Sri Lanka. The uncovered insights are prescriptive, providing essential guidance for marketers and businesses.”

The Research & Editorial Team, led by Fazlan Marikkar, Project Lead & Trainer & Lecturer at APIDM, and Thilina DK, Research Senior Lecturer at the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, worked tirelessly to ensure the report’s findings are not only relevant but also accurate and actionable. Team members, including Nipun Hewapathirana and Theja Bandara, played a crucial role in the collaborative effort.
