INDIA (COMMONWEALTH UNION) – as long as one can remember India has always been ahead of its time where travel is concerned. India has had dreams of having expressways that will make travel between states easier and faster for the foreigners that visit as well as the locals. This Expressway seems to be one of many that will make the travel of India very easy.
The new expressway is coming along nicely and is going to soon be a reality for India. The expressway has roads that are tremor free so that the drivers can keep a cool 120 KMPH. The German technology that was used to build these roads and it is promised that there will not be any maintenance needed for the next 50 years or so.
Apart from it being one of the best expressways in India it is also the first expressway that will also be nature friendly. With the world going green this expressway will be one that has an overhead animal crossing so that animals can cross the expressway without coming to any kind of harm. There will be green over passes every 3. Kilometers.
This is an 8-lane expressway. But the beauty of it is that it can be spread into 12 lanes if needed to be. The roads spread 1350 Kilometers and will be the reason for most people to take the scenic route. This expressway will do the most amazing job of cutting travel time by half. The usual travel time via car from Delhi to Mumbai is 24 hours give or take a few and with this new expressway the travel time will be 12 hours give or take an hour.
This makes the express way more efficient than one thought. The country seems happy with this investment as now there is a reason for people to travel by vehicle. The reason the travel time to change is because the distance between the two cities have been shortened by 130 Kilometers because of the expressway.
The expressway will also connect major cities along the way. Which means that the expressway is not only for travel between Delhi and Mumbai but one can also use it to cities in-between the 2 destinations. This cuts the travel time to those destination by a fair amount as well. Which makes traveling to them more appealing as well as more accessible.
The other great benefit is that there will be no entrance toll at the expressway. The charge will be determined from your exit point and the entrance ticket will show how far you have travelled. This is good as the traveller will be paying for the amount he travelled and not for the use of the entire expressway.
If one were to compare the Agra – Lucknow expressway is INR 2 per kilometer where as on this new expressway a kilometer is only 65 Indian cents. There will be security camera even 500 meters on the highway so that if something were to happen there will be enough evidence to see what action needs to be taken. There will also be 93 locations on the highway that are being constructed to be resting areas for travellers who need to take a break when using the Expressway for their journey. Apart from this there will also be trauma centers every 100 kilo meters in case there is some accident and the people involved will need urgent care.
