Florida, U.S.A. (C.W.B.N.)_ Last Friday (4th December), Disney Cruise Line issued a statement regarding that all departures through February 28th 2021 had been cancelled. They noted during this time; the protocols would be refined for an “eventual return to service”. DCL went on to detail that, “Sailings are cancelled onboard the Disney Magic through Feb. 25, Disney Wonder and Disney Dream through Feb. 26 and Disney Fantasy through Feb. 27.”

The second global wave of COVID-19 has led to a record number of positive tests being documented. This unfortunate series in events have, in turn, forced many people in the industry to go back in hiatus. Per “Conditional Sail Order,” issued by the U.S.  Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, cruise lines must be able to achieve several protocols and requirements before returning to the sea.

However, Disney is not alone with this decision. Many major cruise lines such as M.S.C. Cruises, R.C.C.L., and Carnival Cruises announced a similar hiatus by postponing any departures until 1st March 2021.

DCL has made it clear that any passengers booked on the affected sailing and have paid the reservations in full can either choose to opt for a full refund or cruise credit to be used in future sailings. For those who have only paid in part, will be automatically refunded for what they have paid.

Further details will be provided to affected guests and tour professionals by Disney Cruise Line via email.
