We don’t leave when the building work finishes either – we’re here for the long haul. At our BtR developments, our sister company Apo takes on the operation and management of the schemes once construction is complete to ensure there is active, engaged community. So whether they own or rent their home, our residents can expect dedicated quality customer service from the moment they get the keys to their home.
Our aim is to create places where everyone feels welcome, so we work closely with local communities and organisations to shape our plans and to make sure they meet local aspirations. Our work
Verdo Kew Bridge
Verdo Kew Bridge is a multi-million-pound regeneration project on Kew Bridge situated next to Kew Bridge Railway Station. Anchored by the new Brentford Community Stadium, which completed in 2020, the scheme is creating a new destination in this evolving area of West London with nearly 1,000 new homes, a new space for the BFC Community Sports Trust, retail spaces and a new public realm in Brentford.
Approximately half of the new homes will be Build-to-Rent (BtR), which will be managed by Apo, EcoWorld London’s investment management sister company. The homes for sale at Verdo comprise of 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments with premium amenities including a concierge, gym, media room, residents lounge and podium gardens.
Aberfeldy Village
Aberfeldy Village is an ambitious, 20-year regeneration scheme in East London by a joint venture between EcoWorld London and housing association Poplar HARCA. To date, three phases have completed, delivering 678 homes of all tenures, a residents’ gym and lounge, a 7,000sqm public park and public art created in collaboration with the community. A further 223 homes are under construction as well as a GP surgery, a community centre, nursery, café and retail units.
To revitalise the local high street during construction, the partnership established a meanwhile use project on Aberfeldy Street by commissioning mural artists to transform the store fronts with art inspired by traditional Bengali kantha craft and fabrics donated by residents. The result is a series of hugely colourful, engaging murals that inject life and vibrancy into the street.
In conjunction the Start Here programme was launched, inviting local businesses to apply to take a retail unit on the street and benefit from business support that followed an incubator model. Despite the global pandemic and national lockdowns delaying the work of local traders, the result has been the establishment of a high street that residents can be proud of, that draws people from the wider borough.
