Elon Musk assumes title of Technoking of Tesla

Elon Musk has crowned himself the Technoking of Tesla. Not only is he renaming himself within the company but also knighting his other colleagues as well.

The eccentric billionaire filed an official notice with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday that he was to be known as Technoking of Tesla and chief financial officer Zach Kirkhorn to be known as the master of coin.

Musk is known for this kind of showy innovative behavior and zany disregard for certain authority. He even named his young son with singer Grimes X Æ A-12 (later seemingly changed to X Æ A-Xii), which may have run up against California state naming regulations.

Musk has always had an independent streak as for example when he opened up his manufacturing facility when the country was under stay at home orders. It was alleged later that the plant itself recorded hundreds of Covid positive cases.

Musk has a massive following of the younger generations as well as a huge online following as he has control over his own twitter and often engages with fans with regard to Bitcoin and updates on Tesla and SpaceX.

Kirkhorn seems amused by this change of title and is taking it up in good faith and says the new titles to honor the company’s commitment to Bitcoin. The company invested $1.5 billion in bitcoin last month and said it plans to soon accept the cryptocurrency as payment.

Whilst Musk Seems excited by his title change and the change of title of his CFO,  Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for further comment on the significance of the title changes.
