Paris, France (CWBN)_ The European Centre for Disease Control (ECDC) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), issued updates to Covid-19 testing and quarantine guidelines, to the European Travel Commission (ETC) with regard air travellers.
ECDC has hence briefed EU members on the uniform implementation of the the respective recommendations.
The report further stated that the likelihood of infected persons using was considerably lower (less than 1% of all travellers) compared to the presence of Covid-19 amongst the general public, and that testing and quarantine procedures are unnecessary given the circumstances.
The report added that those travelling should not be hastily categorized as “high-risk” and ought to be treated in the same manner as someone from the general population who has not come in contact with an infected person.
