Forbes 50 Over 50 Vision List: Indian American women shaping the feature!

 a pool of over 10,000 nominations for their work in creating and operating large-scale businesses that are $20 million or more in revenue for for-profit businesses, leading movements, and making a difference in the world. According to Forbes, they are involved in all areas of the American economy including venture capital, education, politics, major league sports, and more and, most significantly, they are reaching milestones and succeeding after their 50s.

The Indian American personnels who are placed in the list are, Vice President Kamala Harris; Nandita Bakhshi, CEO of Bank of the West; Mridula Nair, Research Fellow with Eastman Kodak; and Neeti Pawar, Judge in the Court of Appeals, state of Colorado.

According to Forbes, these women inspired many. It said, “In a moment when a global pandemic has pushed a disproportionate number of women out of the workforce—and, among this demographic, forced hundreds of thousands into too-early retirements—it is our hope that the stories of the women on this list resonate, inform and inspire.”

The magazine said that the Forbes 50 Over 50 platform, in collaboration with Mika Brzezinski’s Know Your Value, is committed to shed limelight on women who are above 50 years and who have accomplished major success in their later part of life, frequently tackling challenging barriers in their path. According to the magazine, it plans to continue with spotlighting women who are achieving high at work even after reaching 50s, with the next edition on women employed at Wall Street, venture capital and impact investing.
