Foreign Ministry launches the ‘Visit Bangladesh’ campaign

Bangladesh (Commonwealth Union)_ The ‘Visit Bangladesh 2022’ event, which will last for six days, was launched in Bangladesh. The program will include the participation of eleven nations and be overseen by the Foreign Ministry’s Public Diplomacy Wing. ‘Visit Bangladesh’ is a customary event organized by the Foreign Ministry to exhibit Bangladesh’s history, culture, landscape, progress and development to international media professionals, journalists, columnists, intellectuals, bureaucrats, civil society members and opinion leaders and shapers. 

According to the latest media statement issued by the Bangladeshi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, fourteen renowned individuals from eleven countries, including Algeria, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Vietnam, are taking part in this edition of ‘Visit Bangladesh’. The participants made separate courtesy calls to Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam, at the Foreign Ministry, on the first day of the program.

Participants were informed on the history of independent Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, foreign policy goals, economic success and development, the role of free and impartial media and the Rohingya crisis. Both leaders expressed optimism that participants in Visit Bangladesh 2022 will become goodwill ambassadors for Bangladesh in their respective nations. Participants expressed gratitude to the honorable Foreign Minister and honorable State Minister for Foreign Affairs for inviting them to Visit Bangladesh 2022 and commended Bangladesh’s exceptional hospitality. 

Participants are scheduled to visit the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum, Central Shaheed Minar, Liberation War Museum, Bangladesh National Museum and Dhaka University during this 6-day tour. Additionally, they will visit the Mausoleum of Bangabandhu at Tungipara and the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar. The international visitors will also tour an industrial park. They will also give Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud a courtesy call. In addition, the participants will also attend the Victory Day march at the National Parade Ground.
