Happy New Year’ message issued by Royal Family to nation in special social media post

United Kingdom (Commonwealth Union)_It has been a tough year for the monarchy as they look ahead into 2024 and put out a special message for everyone in the country. 

The Royal Family wished people across the UK all the best for 2024 as the hours count down until the bells ring at midnight, as their official Twitter page posted a special message on New Year’s Eve. 

An animated picture showed an image of Buckingham Palace with fireworks illuminating the skies around the building to form the words ‘Happy New Year’ in a gorgeous digitally edited photo.

The photo shared by the firm was also accompanied by a caption which read: ‘”Wishing you a Happy New Year!'” with the royals themselves likely hoping for better things ahead in the next year after having to navigate a fairly difficult time for the family in 2023. 

It was a rollercoaster of a year, with the release of Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare released at the beginning of the year which sent shockwaves through the monarchy divulging private details about senior members of his family in his tell-all book. 

Arguments were reignited towards the end of the year following Omid Scobie’s new book Endgame which saw the race row forced back into the public spotlight once more naming two of the key senior Royals behind the allegations. 

King Charles may However, be in a forgiving mood as the year draws to a close, as the Duchess of York Sarah (also well-known as Fergie) attended her first Christmas Service at the Sandringham Estate for over 30 years. 

Elsewhere Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stayed back in the United States for the festive celebrations with their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. 

King Charles and Queen Camilla marked the final day of the year today on Sunday attending the final Sunday service of the year in Sandringham as they wrapped up warm in thick coats and gloves.
