insufficient life insurance and remain underinsured. This might be devastating to the family’s well-being if the breadwinner is in trouble. The goal of life insurance is to provide income to the family in the event of a family member’s absence. HDFC Life hopes that this campaign would inspire consumers to determine their optimal life cover using the Human Life Value Calculator (HLV) on the Company’s website.

The campaign includes three films starring the brilliant Pratik Gandhi who appears in settings illustrating the repercussions of insufficient preparedness. The situations are relevant, and the settings are funny, illustrating how ‘adha adhura’ or insufficient acts may put you in trouble.

Vishal Subharwal, Head of Marketing, Digital Business, and E-commerce at HDFC Life, commented on the campaign, highlighting the importance of insurance. He said, “India has a large population that is either uninsured or underinsured, leading to a high protection gap. With an increase in the young working population there is a greater need for life insurance to secure the breadwinner in the family. Further, the pandemic has enhanced the need for a financial safety net”.

Vishal further spoke about the benefits of the campaign, He added, “Human Life Value calculation should ideally be the first step while purchasing life insurance. It ensures that the cover is adequate and fulfills the purpose of the policy. Through this campaign, we aim to create greater awareness of the need for adequate life insurance cover. The films are short, simple, and convey the message effectively. We hope to reach out to a larger audience and enable them to secure their future financially.”
