Ontario, Canada (CU)_ Ocugen Inc, a Bharat Biotech partner in the United States and Canada, announced that it has submitted all the necessary data for the indigenously manufactured Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin to Canadian authorities, and that the application is currently being reviewed by Health Canada. During an earnings call on Friday, Ocugen chairman and CEO Shankar Musunuri spoke about the status of the submission. He said, “We have provided all the data, what is needed for…Canadian submission…it is under active assessment by Health Canada.” However, he refused to comment on approval dates.
