Howard Community Academy students are trying to make what possible?

-

Children now dream bigger. Apart from this they are given the confidence to make those big dreams a reality. This also teaches them how to discipline and the rewards of working hard. The young ones at Bury St Edmunds primary school did just that by taking part in a massive virtual sing-a-long, attempting to break a Guinness world record in the process.

This was no easy task as the pupils had to make a certain number for the record to be broken and they all had to sing at the same time as well for a specified period of time. The youngsters was enthusiastic throughout the while process and did not complain about the amount of work that had to be put in. they were in collaboration with Young Voices, pupils from Howard Community Academy sang Lovely Day by Bill Withers in their separate class bubbles last Thursday. They joined hundreds of thousands of other students across the country taking part in an attempt to beat the Guinness world record for the largest simultaneous sing. Whether the young singers have actually beaten the previous world record, held by the Young Voice Choir, is yet to be announced.

Alison Weir Howard Primary Academy head teacher stated that “There were lots of smiles and giggles. It was just lovely to see that camaraderie, singing together and there was no pressure and it was just fun. It’s been fantastic and the confidence we have seen in the children has just hugely grown, they are so proud of themselves and so proud of what they have achieved.”

We wish these young ones the best of luck and hope they achieve this great feat!
