New Delhi (CWBN)_ Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, fashion hasn’t taken a backseat and alternative arrangements are in progressive to ensure that more than 40 fashion designers get the chance to showcase their talents.

Lotus Make-up India Fashion Week will be livestreamed from tomorrow (Wednesday) to Sunday, with ten designers showcasing their spring-summer collections each day. Fashion crews have been working on this project for months to adapt the concept to COVID-19 restrictions, with pre-shot fashion films shown on popular social media platforms.

Fashion designers are hopeful of a positive response as the fashion world attempts the ‘new normal’, with the advantage of reaching a larger audience as opposed to a traditional fashion show. However, the visual feel of the garment and its embellishments are better seen physically, which add to the cons of the concept.

Participating designers include Varun Bahl, Tarun Tahiliani, Suneet Varma, Shivan and Narresh, Shantanu and Nikhil, Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna, Rina Dhaka, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Payal Jain, Nitin Bal Chauhan, Namrata Joshipura, Geisha Designs, Dhi, Ashish Soni and Abhishek Gupta.
