Mumbai, India (CU)_ PNB MetLife is the first life insurance company in India to introduce a Dental Care Plan with OPD benefits. The PNB MetLife Dental Care Plan is a specialized plan designed to meet the evolving demands of today’s customers. This is India’s first insurance plan that includes fixed-benefit outpatient fees and gives financial support for overall oral health-related expenses. Additionally, this launch strengthens PNB MetLife’s leadership in the industry with this unique, stand-alone dental health insurance plan that covers significant dental treatments without hospitalization.

According to Allied Market Research data, the Indian dental insurance market would be valued at $3.65 billion by 2030. According to the Indian National Oral Health Survey, 90 percent of people have oral health difficulties, and the majority of dental appointments are for the treatment of dental disorders such as gum infection, tooth decay, tooth loss, tooth loosening, and serious dental infections and vascular damage. Numerous studies have noted a connection between oral health and chronic diseases such as diabetes and stroke.

The new Dental Care Plan from PNB MetLife will assist policyholders in managing their dental health and make sure they do not have to sacrifice their savings or control their essential expenditures in order to afford dental care. PNB MetLife has partnered with over 340 dental facilities, including Clove Dental and Sabka Dentist, for the welfare of its clients. Due to the effects of inflation, essential skills, and specialized oral health infrastructure, individuals typically spend a significant amount of their own money on costly dental operations. Therefore, this plan provides access to dental insurance without requiring hospitalization.

In addition, the plan provides fixed-cost benefits ranging from INR 350 to INR 7,500 for each dental surgery and an amount assured up to INR 50,000 to aid with total oral health expenditures. The policy also offers cashless claims, an easy claim settlement process, and tax advantages for policyholders under Section 80D of the Indian Income Tax Act.
