Global (CU) _ A political fiend and prominent journalist, Darya Dugina was the daughter of an ultra-nationalist Russian activist Alexander Dugin. Her father was known to be an ally of President Vladimir Putin and she herself advocated for Putin’s political views.

She was killed on Saturday evening of the 20th of August 2022, outside Moscow, as a result of a suspicious explosion that blew up the Toyota Land Cruiser she was driving. Authorities investigating the case suspect the involvement of Ukraine in this attack, who in turn have denied all allegations.

TV footage and other information gathered from the crime scene, display the collection of debris and any other evidence sourced from the area of the attack, in order to go into the depths of this criminal activity.

Investigators conclude that both Alexander and Darya had been attending an event outside Moscow and had decided to switch cars, resulting in Darya driving her dad’s car. As such, the Russian state news agency claims that the attack was intended for Alexander and that Darya seemed to have been victimised as a result of being at the wrong place during the wrong time.

Despite declaring Ukrainian involvement behind this tragic event, the head of the Russian Investigative Committee has issued specific orders to the central branch of the institution to thoroughly investigate the case.

In one of the statements, the committee mentioned that the explosive was planted on the driver’s side of the car, Darya, who happened to be driving, died with immediate effect on the scene. The committee also observed that the crime was pre-planned with precision and was of contractual nature.

Ukraine has claimed all allegations placed on them as fictional, and have publicly refused any involvement in this brutal bomb attack.
