Africa (Commonwealth) _With the purchase of National Packaging Systems (NPS), a specialized South African producer of packaging equipment, Ishida Europe has further enhanced its offering to clients on the African continent.
NPS was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Pinetown, close to Durban. It has a solid reputation for designing and producing dependable vertical form, fill, and seal machines for stick packs, pillow packs, sachets, and volumetric fillers in addition to feed systems.

In Kyoto, Ishida started producing weighing scales in 1893 with permission from Japan’s first weights and measures license. Otokichi II Ishida established the business in 1948 under the name Ishida Scales Mfg. Co. Ltd. It created the multihead weigher in 1972 and began exporting it in 1978.Ishida Europe, the company’s first overseas subsidiary, was established in 1985.

Products

Checkweighers, X-ray machines, seal testers, and vision systems are examples of inspection equipment. Software for optimizing packing line efficiency is also produced by Ishida. It continues to produce scales for retail establishments.

Ishida Europe, a UK-based firm founded in 1985, was the first subsidiary and presently serves as the European headquarters. Asia is home to Ishida subsidiaries in Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, China, India, and Thailand. There are now manufacturing plants in Brazil, India, Korea, China, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Heat and Control is the main distributor of Ishida equipment in Australia, whereas Gilbarco handles distribution for the retail market and Heat and Control handles distribution for the manufacturing equipment in New Zealand.
