Jamaica Hospital Medical Center gets latest medical technology

California, USA (CU)_ The Level-1 Trauma Center at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center got $589,000 in new equipment from Borough President Donovan Richards, who was born there 38 years ago. He promised to invest in the facility while running for his current position two years ago. Richards said, “I was born here and a year ago we announced $11 million toward healthcare institutions around the borough and we really did look at every request that every hospital gave us — and Jamaica Hospital, I’m happy to say that we fully funded your request today.”

The hospital received five new modern mobile ultrasound equipment with sophisticated imaging elastography, which enables medical personnel to detect illnesses without resorting to invasive biopsy procedures for serious diseases like…
