Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram and left the most heartfelt statement on Sridevi’s death anniversary this year. She wrote, “Miss you.” Janhvi also posted a snapshot of a letter from her mother that read, “I love you, my labbu. You are the best baby in the world.” In the meantime, Janhvi’s sister Khushi shared a most cherishable photo of her parents, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, with the caption, “I love you.”
Sridevi was awarded the Best Actress National Award posthumously for her portrayal in the film MOM, her final film. Janhvi Kapoor wore her mother’s kanjeevaram saree during the National Awards ceremony, which was held just months after Sridevi’s death.
Sridevi passed away in 2018 in Dubai after accidentally drowning in the hotel bathtub. The Kapoor family travelled to Dubai to attend Mohit Marwah’s wedding celebrations. Sridevi was 54 years old when she died. Her elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s Bollywood debut was the 2018 film Dhadak, followed by a role in the Netflix anthology Ghost Stories. Dostana 2, a romantic comedy from Dharma Productions, is one of her future projects. Khushi Kapoor is a film student in New York who will make her Bollywood debut soon.
