Mumbai, India (CU)_ Kirron Kher, an actress-turned-politician who is on her cancer treatment, has now returned to the sets of India’s Got Talent as a judge for the show’s upcoming season. Kirron Kher was recently detected with multiple myeloma, a kind of blood cancer. Despite this, she continued to work from home while undergoing treatment. The 69-year-old actress has already began filming for India’s Got Talent, which she has judged from the show’s inception.
Shilpa Shetty, who is also one of the judges in the reality show for the first time alongside Kirron Kher and Badshah, released a behind-the-scenes video from the set on Wednesday, and wrote, “BTS on IGT. First day, first show with Kirron Kher and Badshah.” Kirron Kher is seen in the footage wearing a face shield.
Shilpa Shetty is seen in the footage having a playful conversation with Kirron Kher, during which she asks the elder actress to adopt her so she may inherit all of her fashionable jewelleries. Shilpa says, “I come to shootings only to see jewelry” and Kirron Kher responds with a chuckle and says, “Don’t be silly.” Shilpa again says, “Mai to kehti hu adopt kar lo mujhe, Sikander (Kirron and Anupam Kher’s kid Sikandar) thodi pehnega ye (I am telling you, just adopt me, Sikander won’t wear your jewelry).”
However, Kirron Kher is mostly known for her finest comebacks. She said, “Usko pehenni padi toh shayad wo bhi pehen lega…the other day I told him that I think I should sell some of my jewelleries because tum shaadi to kar nhi rahe, he said, ‘Don’t you do it, my wife will wear it’.” ROFL.
Kirron Kher worked from home when she was under cancer treatment. Earlier, during an interview with the media, she spoke about work from home experience and also shared about her health condition. She said, “I’ve been working even when I was in the hospital, going through treatment. I’ve been in touch with people on my phone all along. In fact, I recently inaugurated an oxygen plant in Chandigarh, virtually. But my doctor isn’t letting me travel anywhere, especially by air, since my immunity is slightly compromised due to the treatment” and stated that she is required to visit the hospital on a monthly basis for maintenance therapy.
In April, Anupam Kher stated on Instagram that Kirron Kher is under cancer treatment. Kirron Kher, who has appeared in films such as Pestonjee, Main Hoon Na, and Hum Tum, entered politics in 2014 when she became a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
