Law Training center has announced the ‘open to all scholarship’ to make legal qualifications available to students from various backgrounds. This scholarship is available to international students. Including those in India, allowing them to study law remotely and practice in UK. The grant, worth up to £1,558, applies to many courses offered by the center. The application process is straightforward and there are no fixed deadlines. Especially in India, Law Training Center aims to support keen learners and reduce financial complications to English qualifications in Law.
The new scholarship will be available for learners who want to study CLC, CILEX, and NALP courses along with Notarial Academic Training Course. Anyone who wants to qualify as an attorney, by studying the SQE1 OR SQE2 can apply for the existing Access to Law SQE Scholarship, which has already been awarded to 97 candidates- worth about £100,000 in value with no candidates having yet been refused.
Depending on what they choose, recipients of the ‘Open to All Scholarship’ will receive an allowance of up to £1,558, which is about Rs 164 lakh.
Unlike many other scholarships the application method has been created with ease in mind for candidates in keeping with the principle of making the scholarship “open to all”. Commenting on this choice, Eva Dullabh, co-founder and director of Education at Law Training Center said” We’ve personally experienced how aggressive a lot of scholarship and bursary applications are, which can be discouraging, so we wanted to take a complete different method. As part of this, there are no set limits with applications considered on a rolling basis.
There are no boundaries on applying for the scholarship so long as the candidate is not a recipient of one of Law Training Center’s other scholarships.
Asked about the decision to let overseas students to apply for the scholarship Dino Dullabh, said that they recognized many overseas learners want to study our courses and though we have always kept the prices of our courses as low as we can, we know that the cost of an English qualification can be difficult to afford for many individuals. We wanted this scholarship to help keen and skilled learners for places like India, so then they can build a better career for themselves depending on their financial status.
Recently the news came after the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Bar council of India, the Bar Council of England and Wales, and the Law Society of England and Wales to strengthen cooperation and legal exchange. As part of the move, recently the regulations were announced that permits the practice of home jurisdiction law by English and Welsh lawyers in India and vice versa.
