Maharashtra (Commonwealth Union)_ Nick Jonas, the global pop sensation and member of the Jonas Brothers, has shared heartfelt insights into his life as a father to the 2-and-a-half-year-old daughter Malti Marie, whom he shares with wife Priyanka Chopra. The couple, who welcomed their daughter via surrogacy in January 2022, have found immense joy in parenthood, with Malti at the center of their world. In a recent media interview, Nick Jonas opened up about the profound impact fatherhood has had on him. He acknowledged that his success and notoriety are nothing compared to the time he spends with his daughter at home.

According to Jonas, “The best part about being a dad for me… is that you could feel like your coolest self on top of the world, and she just doesn’t care at all,” he said. Jonas explained that, while he may feel on top of the world during his performances, when he’s home with Malti, he’s simply ‘Dad.’ He continued, “She wants to play Moana and Maui with me, and that means more to me than anything else. That time with her is precious, and the fact that I’m just ‘Dad’ when I’m home means a lot.” Jonas also shared a lighthearted moment regarding his daughter’s awareness of his and his band’s fame. According to him, Malti is beginning to recognize the faces of her uncles, Kevin and Joe Jonas, from the cover art of their recent single. “I think I played her the new single the other day. She looked at the cover art, and she was like, ‘Oh, that’s Uncle Kevy and Uncle Go.’ I said, ‘Ya, we are in a band, it’s called the Jonas Brothers.’ She said, ‘The Donut Brothers,'” he recalled with a laugh.

Priyanka Chopra, who frequently shares glimpses of her life with Malti on social media, also enjoys her own moments of relaxation. Recently, she posted a funny meme expressing the joy she feels after her daughter falls asleep. The meme, featuring a video of a sleeping child, was paired with a clip of Jerry from Tom and Jerry dancing freely, captioned, “freedom.” This humorous moment perfectly captures the balance of parenthood, where even brief moments of solitude are cherished.

Nick Jonas also embraced his “girl dad” role in a recent Instagram post, sharing a selfie in which he proudly wore one of Malti’s hair bows and a flower clip, with pink balloons in the background. “Girl dad life,” he captioned the sweet photo, highlighting his joy in his parenting journey. The couple, who tied the knot in 2018 at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, chose meaningful names for their daughter. “Malti” is a name that holds significance for Priyanka’s family, as it is her mother’s middle name, while “Marie” is Nick Jonas’s mother’s middle name. Together, these personal touches reflect the couple’s deep connection to their heritage and family.
