India (Commonwealth) _ In October 2023, Maruti Suzuki achieved its highest-ever monthly sales total of 1, 99,217 units. This is a 19% year-on-year increase in both local and overseas sales.

Maruti Suzuki recorded 177,266 domestic sales, which included passenger automobiles, commercial vehicles, and OEMs. According to India’s leading four-wheeler manufacturer, domestic sales in October 2023 were also the company’s greatest ever. Maruti Suzuki had 147,072 domestic sales in October of previous year. In terms of only passenger cars, October 2023 saw a shipment of 168,047 units, up from 140,337 units last year.

This sector has energized Maruti Suzuki sales with the debut of new cars and the update of older utility models, as it dispatched 59,147 units in October 2022, compared to 30,971 units in October 2022. Maruti Suzuki’s vehicle lineup includes the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Jimny, Invicto, and XL6. Exports increased from 20,448 units last year to 21,951 units in October 2023, according to the business.

The small sector, which includes Alto and S-Presso, decreased by 14,568 units from the previous year’s total of 24,936 units. In comparison, the compact sector sold 80,662 units in October 2022, compared to 73,685 units in October 2022.This category includes the Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR.  Maruti Suzuki Ciaz sales, on the other hand, fell from 1,884 in October 2022 to 695 in October 2023.

Mini vehicle sales, which include Alto and S-Presso models, fell in October 2023 as compared to the same month the previous year, with the business selling 14,568 units in October 2023 vs 24,936 units in October 2022. Maruti Suzkuki’s overall exports increased by around 7% year on year, rising from 20,448 to 21,951 units in October.

Maruti Suzuki’s total year-to-date sales increased by 8.36 percent, with the business selling 96,456 automobiles higher than in the same period previous year. Maruti has also provided a segment-by-segment breakdown of the sales numbers. The majority of the donors came from the hatchback sector, as predicted. The anniversary marks 36 years since the company began exporting models in the fiscal year 1986-1987. Bangladesh and Nepal were the first destinations to receive Maruti automobiles from India, with the first batch of 500 vehicles transported to Hungary in September 1987. The landmark vehicle was a Maruti Suzuki Baleno bound for Latin America.

Since then, the company’s global reach has grown to approximately 100 nations, including Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.

Maruti Suzuki exports a diverse range of models from the Indian market, including the Swift, Baleno, Brezza, Dzire, and others. In January of this year, the Grand Vitara became the carmaker’s latest model to enter worldwide markets.

Maruti Suzuki ended FY 2022 with the highest-ever exports in a fiscal year of 2, 38,376 units. The enthusiasm has continued over into FY 2023, with the business already reporting shipments of 2, 26,110 units as of the end of February, indicating that it may set a new all-time record.
