The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja dedicated the team’s fifth IPL championship to captain MS Dhoni after the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans produced one of the most memorable finishes in the IPL 2023 final.

In a nail-biting victory over the defending champions GT at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday, CSK won their fifth IPL title thanks in large part to a spectacular finale from Jadeja, who struck a six and a four with 10 needed off the final two balls.

After the victory, the all-rounder posted a picture of himself and his wife Rivaba clutching the trophy on Twitter along with a big smile from Dhoni, who was seated next to them.

“We did it for ONE and ONLY MS. DHONI,” Jadeja wrote, “mahi bhai aapke liye toh kuch bhi (anything for you Mahi Bhai)”. In the midst of the boisterous celebrations, an emotional Dhoni was seen lifting the all-rounder with excitement.

After the game, Jadeja stated to the announcers, “I’m from Gujarat, and it’s a wonderful feeling. This group has been incredible. I’d want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the CSK supporters who came to show their support for us. They waited for the rain to cease till late at night. I’d want to dedicate our victory to MS Dhoni, a special member of the CSK team.

Jadeja blasted Mohit over his head for a six and then added a boundary to complete a thrilling triumph with 10 needed off the final two balls.

Jadeja explained his intent during the crucial last over: “I was just trying to swing hard because every ball was important.” I was attempting to swing forcefully and hit the ball straight since I knew anything might happen.

Jadeja also expressed his gratitude to the CSK supporters who had flocked to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in great numbers to cheer on the visiting squad. This group has been incredible. They waited until late at night for the rain to stop. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the CSK supporters who came to show their support.

Meanwhile M.S. Dhoni, the CSK captain and a legend in the world of cricket, stated he hopes to play in the upcoming IPL season after leading Chennai Super Kings to a record-tying fifth title victory over Gujarat Titans in what many had assumed was his final game.
