Maverick 440 in the UK

-

UK (Commonwealth) _Hero MotoCorp intends to launch the Mavrick 440, an A2-license compatible motorcycle, into the UK market later this year. The motorbike is anticipated to be priced under GBP 5,000 and will be targeted towards the lower end of the UK market.

When the Hero Mavrick 440 is introduced in the UK, it will compete with motorcycles like the Triumph Speed 400 and the Royal Enfield Classic 350. It is now available for purchase in India. Hero MotoCorp intends to cooperate with MotoGB for distribution as it enters the UK and European markets.

The Mavrick 440 is a roadster-style motorcycle with a steel trellis chassis housing a 440cc single-cylinder engine. The two-valve SOHC motor produces a maximum torque of 36 Nm at 4000 rpm and 27 horsepower at 6000 rpm. It is coupled with a six-speed gearbox that shifts smoothly and an assist and slipper clutch that provides a mild clutch action.

Features including a digital speedometer, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and all-around LED lighting are available on the Mavrick 440. The motorbike shares its foundation with the American roadster and is based on the Harley-Davidson X440.

Hero MotoCorp is preparing to introduce the roadster in the UK as an A2-license compliant vehicle, after the debut of its newest flagship motorbike, the Mavrick 440, last month.  It appears that MotoGB will be the manufacturer’s distribution partner for the UK and other European countries.

Although the Mavrick 440 and the Harley-Davidson X440 have similar foundations, the Mavrick 440 is Hero’s largest displacement motorbike. The motorbike is based on a trellis frame and has an air-cooled, 440cc single-pot engine that produces 27 bhp and 36 Nm. It is coupled to a sporty 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The motorbike has an all-digital instrument console with Bluetooth capability, turn-by-turn navigation, a commanding yet comfortable riding position, and more. Its body is made entirely of metal, and generally the fit and finish are excellent.

Hero sells the Mavrick 440 in India for a starting price of Rs 1.99 lakh ex-showroom for the basic model and Rs 2.24 lakh for the top-spec model. The motorbike is anticipated to retail for GBP 5,000 and be targeted at the more cheap part of the market in the UK. It may have a different name. The Mavrick 440 will go up against the Triumph Speed 400 and the Royal Enfield Classic 350 in competition.

Their strongest bike to date is the Hero Mavrick 440. It receives a rather attractive style. The torque is 2Nm less than the Harley-Davidson X440, although the most of the fundamentals remain the same. The bike’s feature list as a whole appears excellent. The bike does not come with USD forks, though, and the component quality might have been a little higher.

Hero MotoCorp is a well-known brand in the area of modest, 100–125cc motorcycles. With the release of their new 440cc motorcycle, the company has expanded into the realm of strong, aspirational motorbikes. Hero MotoCorp’s Mavrick 440 is their most costly motorbike in addition to being their most powerful.

Since it began manufacturing motorcycles in 1985, the Delhi-based company has supplied more than 110 million units to clients in more than 40 nations. Additionally, they collaborated with Harley-Davidson to create the 440cc single-cylinder X440 cruiser, which would aid the American company in expanding into more developing markets.

The head of the company feels that, although already selling into several sizable regions, such as India, the more affluent character of the European market will enable them to experiment with more cutting-edge motorbike features without jeopardizing the company’s profitability.

Because consumers in established regions like Europe and the UK will have greater disposable income, it also enables us to test out goods with additional features, he explained. You may now experiment with more daring and avant-garde features and gauge user reaction once they can afford them better.

Thus, they will also develop into marketplaces where we may test out some of this type of product, of which we are aware that there won’t be much in the Asian markets.  Because if it gets too pricey, there won’t be many buyers in the Asian markets, he explained.

MotoGB plans to distribute bikes throughout the United Kingdom. The first delivery of bikes is anticipated in April or May of 2024. The Chorley firm says it will choose at least 50 dealers from within its network to promote the new brand. They now work with companies including Synm, Benelli, Keeway, Voge, Lambretta, Italjet, and more.

Hero believes that tighter transportation regulations in cities, including London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), would support their sales in addition to their existing relationships in the UK. It’s unclear exactly when the bikes will arrive, though.
