The Malabar Charitable Trust (MCT), established in 1999, is central to these efforts, allocating 5% of its profits towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that encompass education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and poverty alleviation. A particular focus is placed on empowering marginalized communities. Since launching the Malabar National Scholarship Programme in 2007, the Group has so far spent more than ₹60 crore, providing financial assistance to more than 95,000 girl students nationwide, thereby upgrading both individuals and communities.

Apart from this scholarship programme, the Malabar Group has also initiated the Hunger-Free World Project, which aims to provide nutritious meals to underprivileged individuals across the country. With the help of volunteers and local NGOs, the initiative distributes approximately 50,000 food packets daily across 80 cities in 16 states in India. Additionally, the Group extends its generosity beyond borders, supplying 10,000 food packets daily to school students in Zambia. Plans are also underway to scale this project to serve 100,000 people daily at 200 centers, in partnership with the Thanal organization, which is dedicated to social service.

Furthermore, the group has also initiated the Grandma Home project, which offers free, fully equipped accommodation for impoverished women. This initiative is now operational in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, and plans are underway to further expand to major cities such as Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai. Malabar Group’s extensive CSR initiatives encompass various aspects of social welfare, including medical assistance for the underprivileged, housing support, and financial support for women’s marriages. So far, the Group has spent over ₹263 crore in diverse social responsibility projects, highlighting its commitment to sustainable development.

The Malabar Group’s ongoing emphasis on impactful initiatives in education and hunger relief exemplifies its belief that sustainable growth is only achievable when communities are empowered and supported comprehensively. This dedication to social responsibility will remain central to the group’s future endeavors as it continues to expand its business and philanthropic efforts. The National Scholarship Programme is just one of many steps taken by Malabar Group to reinforce its vision of women empowerment and create a brighter future for girl students across India.
