MK Stalin introduces free Breakfast Program for government school students

Chennai, India (CU)_ Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin led his party-led alliance to a resounding win over the AIADMK in the 2021 Assembly elections, which also marked his first term as chief minister, after a decade in opposition. He previously served as deputy chief minister in the DMK administration led by M Karunanidhi from 2006 to 2011.

To commemorate the one year anniversary of his administration, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin launched a free breakfast program for children of government schools in the state. In order to mark his first anniversary, the chief minister has also announced a special nutritional program for the youngsters.

According to MK Stalin’s latest announcement, children in grades 1 to 5 will get a nutritious breakfast on all school days. He also highlighted the government’s accomplishments in several industries during the last year. He emphasized the importance of the state’s “Dravidian Model” of development and noted that it was an all-inclusive model. He also announced plans for the establishment of additional urban medical institutions to better meet the medical requirements of the populace.

CM Stalin also had conversations with passengers while traveling in a state-run Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus. While riding on Radhakrishnan Salai on bus number 29 C, he interacted with the female passengers and asked their opinion about the free travel initiative. Before the April 2021 Assembly elections in the state, the ruling DMK promised women free bus fare. To mark the successful completion of his first year in power, Stalin placed floral tributes at the tombs of late DMK founder CN Annadurai and his father, former chief minister M Karunanidhi, at the Marina in Chennai.
