Mosca unveils all-inclusive strapping and wrapping solutions

-

(Commonwealth)_ Mosca is set to unveil comprehensive strapping and stretch wrapping solutions that integrate seamlessly into end-of-line processes, ensuring optimal efficiency. At LogiMAT 2024 (Hall 4, Stand 4D21), the Mosca KZV-111 and Movitec Saturn S6 rotary ring stretch wrapping machine will be showcased as two solutions focused on securing entire pallets. For strapping individual packages, Mosca offers the SoniXs TR-Connect and SoniXs MP-6 T within its product portfolio. The automation of packaging lines, whether it’s comprehensive or partial, brings substantial advantages to industrial operations, particularly in scenarios where multiple stages of production and packaging are involved, especially in preparing palletized products for transportation. Timo Mosca, the CEO of Mosca, underscores the pivotal importance of seamless integration among diverse components within these lines. The harmonious operation of various machines is key, not just among themselves but also in conjunction with supplementary conveyor technology and other essential equipment. Achieving this synchronization ensures that the entire packaging process functions as a unified system, optimizing efficiency, productivity, and the overall throughput of the operation.

In such integrated systems, the compatibility and interoperability of different machinery become critical. It’s not merely about individual machines operating efficiently on their own but about their ability to work in concert with each other, complementing and supporting the overall packaging process. This coordination is essential for a smooth flow of materials and products throughout the line, preventing bottlenecks or disruptions and maximizing the output while maintaining consistency in quality. Seamless integration also means that these machines can communicate effectively with one another and with additional technology or equipment present in the packaging line. This communication allows for synchronization of operations, adjustment to varying production needs, and swift responses to changes in packaging requirements or product specifications.

Ultimately, this level of harmonization and compatibility among the different components of packaging lines is crucial for achieving an efficient, streamlined, and highly productive industrial operation. It enables a cohesive workflow, reduces downtime, minimizes errors, and contributes significantly to meeting production goals while maintaining the desired quality standards. The SoniXs TR-Connect, introduced in 2023 as an evolution of previous models, comes equipped with a comprehensive digital package. With an integrated WebHMI, it offers LAN interface operation via customer devices or optional tablet attachments. This machine allows users to monitor crucial parameters, adjust strapping settings, and analyze performance data comprehensively for predictive maintenance.

Featuring an output capacity of up to 45 strapped packages per minute, the SoniXs TR-Connect seamlessly integrates into automated lines. Automatic Cycle Rate Adjustment (CRA) enables adaptation to upstream throughput variations, automatically adjusting product data presets upon receiving information about package size changes. The LogiMAT exhibit will feature the SoniXs MP-6 T, designed for strapping single boxes and packages. This table version, in this showcase, operates seamlessly with no human intervention, thanks to a robotic arm from Pinger Robotic that loads the machine with small packages. This integration allows for the SoniXs MP-6 T to become a part of a fully automated line, showcasing the versatility and flexibility of robotic technology in package handling and strapping.

For pallet packing and securing, Mosca will present two solutions: the Movitec Saturn S6 rotary ring stretch wrapping machine and the KZV-111 pallet strapping machine. The Saturn S6 can secure up to 120 loaded pallets per hour, offering weather protection to stacked single product cardboard boxes. The KZV-111, utilizing SoniXs ultrasonic technology, efficiently straps packages in just 12 seconds, making it ideal for palletized goods packed in boxes without moisture protection requirements. This machine is available in various configurations catering to palletized or non-palletized products.
