Nationwide to attract savers with switching bribe

SWINDON, Southwest England (CU)_Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, people have been reluctant to change their bank account provider. However, now as things begin to return to normal, HSBC UK set out last week to offer a £140 cash bribe, with the aim of luring in new current account customers. Accordingly, the cash incentive is being offered to those who switch to the banking giant’s Advance account through the Current Account Switch Service, and taking at least two direct debits or standing orders along with them.
