Africa (Commonwealth Union) – The 12th edition of the Nigeria Energy Exhibition and Conference returns to Lagos on 28–30 October 2025 at the Landmark Centre as West Africa’s largest industry conference on power and energy. This conference is organised by Informa Markets in association with the Federal Ministry of Power and has as its theme: “Powering Nigeria through Investment, Innovation, and Partnership.”
The three-day conference will bring together more than 8,500 energy professionals, including policymakers, financiers, developers, and technology providers, all united by a shared mission to transform Nigeria’s energy landscape. With the nation striving to overcome infrastructure bottlenecks and unlock sustainable growth, Nigeria Energy 2025 aims to spark strategic conversations that can reshape the future of power generation, distribution, and renewable integration.
During a media briefing in Lagos, Ade Yesufu, Exhibition Manager, Energy Portfolio–MEA at Informa Markets, added that the 2025 edition would focus on actionable reform and capital mobilisation. “Our theme tackles the urgency of plugging gaps in infrastructure and attracting long-term investments, as well as advancing energy reforms already underway,” he explained. “The Nigeria Energy 2025 would be a converging point for government ministers and innovators, as well as investors, to create measurable, tangible momentum.”
The expanded program features high-level policy plenary sessions and technical proceedings, as well as on-stage product presentations that encompass five core areas of interest: power deals and public-private partnerships, the state reform agenda, the hydrogen transition, grid efficiency and innovation, and the Electricity Act in practice. Industry bigwigs like Sadiq Wanka (Special Adviser on Power Infrastructure to the President), Biodun Ogunleye (Lagos State Commissioner of Energy), Edu Okeke (Chief Executive of Azura Power), Chinnan Dikwal (African Energy Council), and Mokhtar Bounour (Chief Executive of Egbin Power Plc) are due to facilitate talks on ways to promote energy security as well as market liberalisation.
Apart from the conference, on display will be more than 200 exhibition stands showcasing solutions from six core sectors: renewable energy, smart metering, battery and e-mobility, backup and critical power, transmission and distribution, and energy management.
In its twelfth edition, Nigeria Energy is again the standard forum for collaboration across Africa’s power value chain, bridging innovation and implementation. As Nigeria continues on its path to a decentralised energy future driven by technology, the event is due to be a turning point in defining a sustainable and inclusive course for power transition on the continent.
