Nigeria’s inflation rate reached 22.04% In March 2023,  – NBS

AFRICA ( Commonwealth Union) _ According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Nigeria’s headline inflation rate jumped to 22.04 percent in March 2023 as compared to the same month the previous year.The NBS Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Inflation Report for March 2023, which was released on Monday in Abuja, supports this.

The score is 0.13 percentage points higher than the 21.91 percent reported in February 2023, the paper said.

According to the report, the headline inflation rate in March 2023 was 6.13 percent higher than the 15.92 percent rate registered in March 2022. According to the research, housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuel contributed 3.69 percent to the increase in the headline index, while food and non-alcoholic drinks contributed 11.42 percent.
