After assuming office in April 2022, Minister of Planning Ahsan Iqbal has pursued these proposals vigorously. Throughout 2013-2017, the ministry of planning initiated numerous projects in accordance with the 2025 goal. However, several of the projects were halted by the previous administration, but have been resumed now. The minister of planning also underlined the government’s commitment to providing such incentives to the youth, who have been sadly polarized in recent years. He said, “The top priority of the government is to provide such facilities to the country’s youth so that they can excel in their respective fields”.

The Prime Minister’s Ba-Ikhtiyar Naujawan Internship Program is the country’s largest youth economic empowerment internship program. This objective is being pursued by offering 60,000 paid internships to young Pakistani graduates. The initiative comes at a time when general elections are approaching in Punjab and KPK. The PML’s election campaign has begun, with senior vice president Maryam Nawaz visiting public gatherings in several province regions. PTI, on the other hand, maintains that they are not even permitted to have rallies and that its activists are being detained in Lahore and Islamabad through raids.
