      The shelf-life of the product can be extended by the blanching process, which will allow the vegetables to stay fresh for a long period.

      While heating, some of the nutrition’s found inside vegetables are sensitive because the heat during blanching can cause the vegetables to have less nutrition’s.

The vegetables are flash frozen after going through the blanching process. This freezing method uses very low temperatures, which circulate air to freeze food quickly. Fresh vegetables can only last long in countertops or fridge, before they lose their freshness most fresh vegetables can be stored for about 1-2 weeks. Spoiled vegetables should be tossed into the garbage since they are unsafe and unhealthy to consume.

For several months frozen vegetables can be stored in the freezer, which is useful when needed. Since there is a long-shelf-life for frozen vegetables, it can be easily transported from one place to another. Frozen vegetables are less expensive compared to fresh vegetables. Than fresh vegetables the frozen option allows more savings, which enables to get more for your money.

Fresh vegetables take time to prepare, for example potatoes must be washed, peeled and diced before cooking. This takes a long time and adds more dishes to your dishwasher.

        Varity of frozen vegetables are available in different shapes, cuts and sizes. These frozen vegetables can be cooked within a short period of time. Mostly frozen vegetables are packed in microwave safe containers. This makes it easier to cook in the microwave oven.

       However, It is always recommended to choose fresh vegetables instead of frozen vegetables., since the texture and taste is different from the fresh option.

      When purchasing frozen vegetables, you have to keep in mind that blanching and freezing processes affects each vegetable differently. When purchasing frozen vegetables, its important to look at the ingredients list which is at the back of the packing, additives can be variety of ingredients like salt, seasonings or sugar. All frozen vegetables don’t contain additives. Food which has been cooked, frozen and canned, which is known as processed food, is notorious for having high amounts of sodium and sugar. Mostly processed foods are prepared meals such as pizza or TV dinners.

         All Processed foods are not bad, some processed foods including frozen vegetables and fruits still contain the same vitamins and minerals as the fresh ones.
