President Cyril Ramaphosa to speak with Zimbabwe president

SOUTH AFRICA (Commonwealth Union) – It looks like Britain is not the only country worried about the election in Zimbabwe. The South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has also shown concern about the upcoming vote.

President Ramaphosa appears to also be on the thought process that the country may not have a peaceful election as there have been some incidents of thuggery. However, the problem was that whilst these incidents were reported there was no hard evidence or proof that they were not just random acts of thuggery as opposed to being acts of thuggery that was caused because of the election.

Zimbabwe has had a history of election tampering and the elected leader always getting there because of some crooked acts. However, the world is hoping that maybe the 2023 election won’t be that way and that the people’s choice will take leadership and the election will be peaceful and fair.

President Ramaphosa has claimed that he will personally speak to the Zimbabwean president and have a conversation regarding the election. Since South Africa and Zimbabwe has always had good relations, the British home office is hoping that President Ramaphosa would have a word with the Zimbabwean government in this regard.

Britain has also made it very clear that they will help President Ramaphosa in every way they can as this sit down between the two presidents could mean that Zimbabwe might just have a fair and credible election.

It is possible that these talks will make the difference and the people of Zimbabwe will benefit from it. The British Parliament seems hopeful and so does the South African President. As stated before, it is important that there is democracy in such elections. If there isn’t, then people loose faith in the system which could be dangerous for the country.
