Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ Priyanka Chopra Jonas will feature in the forthcoming action thriller Heads of State, opposite John Cena and Idris Elba. The film, which will hit the screens of Prime Video on July 2, is a blend of political drama, fast-paced action, and witty humor. In the film, Chopra portrays Noel Bisset, a courageous MI6 agent who is trapped in a high-profile international operation. Meanwhile, Cena and Elba play strong political leaders following their The Suicide Squad (2021), where the duo worked together.

Sharing her experience in Heads of State, Priyanka stated that working with Cena and Elba was exciting and easy. “It was amazing. I didn’t feel out of place at all. It wasn’t like high school. They’ve worked together before, and that’s how this movie idea started. I’m just happy to be along for the ride, even as the only woman among all that masculine energy. I had a great time,” she shared.

The movie is helmed by Ilya Naishuller and casts a strong supporting team of actors, including Sarah Niles, Carla Gugino, Stephen Root, Paddy Considine, and Jack Quaid. Furthermore, the teaser reveals a blend of global espionage, political instability, and humorous moments. Heads of State provides an exciting journey with powerful action sequences and a quick-witted script. Additionally, Amazon MGM Studios produced the film, which will be dubbed in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

This project adds to Chopra’s growing list of international roles. After Heads of State, she will appear in SSMB 29, directed by acclaimed Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli and co-starring Mahesh Babu. The film marks her first collaboration with Rajamouli. Additionally, Priyanka is also acting in The Bluff, an adventurous drama set in the 19th-century Caribbean. In the film, Chopra plays a former pirate who is forced to confront her past to defend her family. The film also casts Karl Urban and Ismael Cruz Córdova. Overall, with her powerful presence in Heads of State, Priyanka is strengthening her global appeal by fearlessly taking on powerful action roles on the international stage.
