Mumbai, India (CU)_ In an interview with Oprah Winfrey on her talk show Super Soul, Priyanka Chopra discussed writing her autobiography at the age of 38. Priyanka Chopra’s interview episode will be released soon, but ahead of the release, the promo was shared on YouTube. When Oprah asked Priyanka whether the pandemic lockdowns made her eventually focus and write a memoir, she said yes.
Priyanka said, “I had committed to writing the book in 2018 and between all those flights and little time that I would get in all those hotel rooms that I lived, I could just never write. But I had this time because of COVID and that helped me really delve deep.” ‘Unfinished’, Priyanka Chopra’s latest memoir, has already become a bestseller of New York Times.
Priyanka Chopra disclosed to Oprah Winfrey that her decision to publish her memoir stems from a sense of protection. She said, “Honestly, I also feel like I, as a woman, I’m in a little bit more of a secure place, where I felt like I could leave behind the insecurities of my 20s and like not worry about that used to scare me before as much.” She added, “I have a little bit more confidence in myself. What I bring to the table professionally, personally… so that really helped me address my life. And I always wanted to write a book and I thought the easiest way to do it is to write about my life. It wasn’t”.
The episode of Super Soul with Oprah Winfrey starring Priyanka Chopra will be aired exclusively on Discovery+ on March 20. On the professional front, Priyanka Chopra’s was last seen in The Sky Is Pink, where she co-starred with Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. Her future projects are Netflix’s The White Tiger with Rajkummar Rao, We Can Be Heroes, a film with comedian Mindy Kaling, Amazon’s Citadel and Sangeet Project. The actress is yet to cast in a Hollywood film with Sam Heughan and Celine Dion.
