This documentary, produced by Chopra and Purple Pebble Pictures, sheds light on the remarkable journey of a woman traveling from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to meet women who have endured violence. Directed by Ajitesh Sharma, the film is set to be released on Prime Video following its theatrical debut. Chopra expressed her gratitude to Prime Video for their continuous support, stating, “I’ve had a really long relationship with Prime Video, now almost going on for four years, and they have always been champions of the work that I have done. And this movie was one of them.”

“Women of My Billion” centers around Srishti Bakshi, the UN Women Champion of Change, who embarks on an arduous 3,800 km journey over 240 days, traversing the length of India to learn about the experiences of women across the country. The documentary also highlights the endeavors of Pragya Prasun, who has dedicated her life to rehabilitating women affected by violence. Chopra affirmed, “As a company, we Purple Pebble Pictures, stand for being a springboard for filmmakers who want to tell stories that they are passionate about”.

The documentary, produced by Awedacious Originals in collaboration with Purple Pebble Pictures, is helmed by Apoorva Bakshi and Priyanka Chopra. During the event, Chopra donned a striking blue pantsuit by Anamika Khanna, exuding elegance and sophistication. Her fashion choices have long been admired, further solidifying her status as a style icon. The actress started her film career in 2003 with her first Hindi film, The Hero. Chopra has won several accolades in recognition of her outstanding work in the motion picture business. The Indian government honored her with the fourth-highest civilian honor, the Padma Shri, in 2016.
