 got the permit last year.

Alan told Neil Mitchell Bass Coast Shire denied his travel permit.

He has a property on Phillip Island.

“We have a holiday house down there, which we use for our own means,” Alan explained.

“But we have it locked up.

“I can’t get a contractor into the backyard.

“I can get the front mowed, but not the back mowed

“With all the rain down there it becomes a fire hazard.

“But if the council issues a fire zone thing, we can go down to our property.

“It doesn’t make sense.”

The question should be asked that is the permit valid till the renewal of permits or has the law changed so that the risk of a virus spread is also stopped. Governments have been making hard choices to keep its people safe.

Sometimes these decisions don’t make sense and it frustrates the people. But it cannot be helped, in this case one can understand the frustrations this man is feeling but the government clearly feels that this is something that needs to be done for the safety of its people.

The inconvenience of it all is of course a problem.
